im looking for a $1000 gaming laptop. im in australia so I have to be able to order it to here. the budget is $1000 you can go over it a little. I need it to run all games at medium to high setting at good frame rates. I want it to be 1080p or maybe 900p or something.

You can prbably get a slightly used lenovo y510p from ebay. i7 - 4700HQ, 2x GT 750m SLI, 1TB hard drive, 16GB of RAM, 1080p

I would recommend something by MSI or ASUS, you can look around online for them, but you will have a good experience with those two - just don't expect macbook level slimness.

no, maybe in low, but most likely not with that r7 m265. That's not a gaming GPU unless you like minesweeper. You will not find a "gaming" laptop that can actually play modern games for under 1000.
You need something with a 950M at the minimum. or 760M gpu. I'll keep looking I know I saw one with a good GPU in it that was cheaper. I still think the Alienware or ASUS or MSI is the way to go for a cheap gaming laptop.

I found some under 1000 here. I would look at the 850M and up models or 950M

I have an Acer Aspire V15 Nitro Black Edition, which I rather like. It's slim and sleek.
I bought the maxed edition, with 16GB ram, 1080p, 256GB ssd, 1TB hdd, i7 - 4700HQ and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M. Cost $1200 half a year ago or so, and there are slightly downgraded versions for less.
I don't know how it compares to the other laptops being mentioned here,, but I really love it.
