add in another pwm fan to the cpu and a 140 on the bottom of the case, plus a nice headset.
budget is ~$2000

oh, it's an all-pupose build, want to be able to do just about anything I put my mind to, includung CAD work, gaming, rendering, vid recording, etc
games I play most are MC/tekkit and DOW2(current laptop cannot handle)
I do plan on OC'ng the cpu, 5ghz being the goal. room heating desireable, not required
I would get a WD black 2TB instead of 2X 1TB blue unless you are going to RAID. Also I would go ASUS for motherboard specifically Asus
SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 if you intend to go the AM3+ socket (I trust ASUS fully and know they have good OC capability). Other than that it looks respectable to me.
I got 2 hdds cause I want one for backup. it's an easily overlooked thing. oh, and dualboot with mint...
$59 on a rubberdome keyboard is a waste of money. Get your self a mechanical board and become a real man.
test post for mobile, and i agree
need the backlight, I'm often in the darkk..... but i'll see how much a backlit mech will cost
wot u think of the storm trigget then?

keyboard seems fine to me
but, AMD on a $2000 budget?
Looks like we have another supporter.
OP, AMD just isn't worth it for anything above $1000.
But I guess it makes more sense because you also invested money on perphirals and accessories.
Oh and if you want it to be for editing/ rendering too, I'd suggest a NVidia card. CUDA and support and all.
Feels weird suggesting NVidia.
raw power of 2011
doesn't have everything like mice, keyboard, sound card, and second HDD but believe me, you'll rather buy those extra stuff later and have the Raw power of 2011 than have everything including a slight disappoinment

you want a good mechanical keyboard to hold you over, go to good will and find the oldest functioning one there, the yellower the better, then make some retr0brite to make her look good as new, old keyboards are mechanical
good for NESs and SNESs as well as old nike shoes
can't buy it later, I don't have a keyboard.... its my 1st build, and I don't have a goodwill here... small town... and the only mouse I have is the wireless one for my laptop....
i'm wary of not backing my data up.... shit happens....
and if I get a good deal on an nvidia 680, i'll get that....
and that 2k budget is how much I want to spend... not a hard cap, really
think I should upgrade to this mobo : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131876
