I have an Antec 300 with every fan slot filled with cougar vortex fans (i love 'em), and I was wondering, should I have my Hyper 212+ cpu cooler face my 120mm exhaust in the back or my 140mm exhaust in the top? If it changes anything my Hyper 212+ is in a push/pull configuration. Thanks for any help!
Upward towards the 140, in my opinion. It doesn't really matter, either way. I would rather make the most of the larger fan, rising heat, and taking heat away from the GPU
That makes perfect sense, thanks! I really wish they made backwards gpus that had upward facing fans though :/ However, I'll certainly give this a try and see if my temps change
That would not make very much sense since the GPU fans sucks air from the bottom and blows it upwards towards the heatsink.(if you motherboard is vertical) Same thing with stock cpu fans. The GPU would be getting hot air from the CPU heatsink if it faced upwards, well maybe not hot air but warmer than ambient temperature. Front intakes will help a lot with cooling the GPU.
This is something that was posted earlier

try out which work best for your case, there is nothing else to say
His front fans will blow the hot air from the GPU out of the back of the case. It is a non-issue.
