What watt PSU should i get 750/850/1000?

Hello forum

I am planning on building my first PROPER gaming computer (current pc is poo)

I am asking for help because i am fairly recent to computers (building) but i do know some what on what im talking about

I have used various power watt calculators and got several different results from 580-990ish so i cant really trust the results

for my build i plan on having (but completely negotiable)

- AMD FX 9370 with included watercooler (until i feel the need to replace)

- ASUS M5A99X-EVO-R2

- Sapphire SA-R9 270X -2GB- (x2) in crossfire

- Corsair Vengeance -1866MHz- 4gb x4cards

- Western Digital Green 3TB HDD and Corsair 120gb bootdrive SSD

Thank you if you can help

550-600W should be more than enough. even if you decide to crossfire you should be okay with 650W

thank you very much :)

could you please let me know how you came to that wattage so i can use it as a reference for future?

thanks

No way you can crossfire two 270x and run a 9370 on a 650 w PSU. That processor has a 220w TDP, not to mention the water cooler. I'd get a 750-800w certified psu.

Providing that you do not stress your hardware under a synthetic benchmark, a decent 650W would be all you need for crossfire. Games only cause GPUs to use about 2/3 of their total power draw. I would get 750W to be on the safe side.

Or 500-550W for a single GPU setup.

I would advise not getting that CPU and instead getting the FX8350. It is the same silicon, just with a slightly lower clock.
