What to do with new mobo/cpu/ram

I’ve been using an i5 3470 and msi H61-p31 motherboard for 3/4 years now and currently use ubuntu. I have just purchased a ryzen 1600, ASUS ROG STRIX B350-F GAMING motherboard and 16gb corsair vengeance (2133). Other than updating drivers, is there anything else I need to configure software-wise with the new install?

You might what to switch to Fedora 27 instead of continuing with Ubuntu. You might need the most update Linux kernel Linux and AMD don’t play nice without the most up to date Linux Kernel.

I wouldn’t mind switching to Fedora, I would just be worried about the graphics card driver support and I’m no expert with linux. Unless I’m completely wrong about that, I got that impression reading online this past few months.

Usually, it is the opposite, Fedora get’s the latest Kernel hence Latest GPU drivers first, then they just sort of trickle down to the other Major distributions, at least that is my understanding. I could be wrong.
