What to do with an i5-3470?

I have a i5-3470 in my computer and i wanted to get in to some kind of overclocking, but the processor is locked. Any thoughts on what i should to do with it? Should i try selling it and getting a 2500k or a 3570k instead? Would it be worth it?

You can clock it a bit but your call really. The unlocked K chips are specifically made for overclockers.

I have it at 3.6 Ghz. But would it be worth it to sell it and maybe get a 2500k or a 3570k?

Just wait a few months for haswell, apparently its going to be a dream to overclock, and the Speed at the same frequency will be 10-15% faster anyway

Well i already have ivy bridge, it would be very pointless to spend $250-$300 on a new cpu and motherboard for 10-15% performance.

oh no i meant sell you cpu.mobo and then spend like 100$ more for a new cpu/mobo, thats what im doing about 1-2 months after haswell is out... and once i get my custom loop :D

I really like my motherboard at the moment, I'd rather stick to lga 1155 for now.

well in that case the 3570K would be worth it, so long as you get a good cooler.
