My son has been patiently waiting for a video card.and quite frankly so have I. What will he be playing mirrors edge catalyst gta v.battlefield 4 his online rob lox. rocket league future games that I am not aware of the names yet. Do I need to buy extra warrentary I never did with the 750 ti cards He will be using a 19 inch monitar either vga or dvi connection leaning towards dvi . How long will the card last in terms of game specs . Not replacing the card anytime soon. What do you guys think of the price. Thanks in advance Or should we wait longer for the 1060 or rx 480 to come in stock.
on to gaming mouse my other son needs a new mouse My other son's have razer deathadder. but it is 84 to 100 Canadian what other mouse is good in comparison. The new tek mouse is not out or being made. ahhh hate making decisions I don't game and no nothing
Can a person get a good deal buying from the US and having it shipped to Canada

480 or even 380 will definitely last longer. With the better DX12 and Vulkan support, they will outperform (as they currently do) 1060 and 960 respectively. If you can wait for aftermarket 480 (Sapphire for example) or get a 380 if you can't wait, but i would wait. Even if 480 is too expensive, soon there will be 470, that will be cheaper, cooler and eat less power than both 380 and 960...
If you can't really wait:

I did a poll about this just last night comparing the 960s with the R9 380s (prices for both are almost identical) the majority of voters so far are saying that price / performance wise the 380 is the better card, memory bandwidth is higher on the 380. Added to this is also the fact that DX12 and Vulkan will have better support on the AMD card so if your looking for a similarly priced but better performing option then consider this as a possibility too.

Thanks for the replies I will wait some more I guess my main issue is not totally understanding the market .looking and seeing everything sell put is frustrating. Help to understand when you are more informed

Yeah I can totally understand your frustration, it can take weeks of research into parts if your looking to get the very best value for your money. (it doesn't affect high budget builders as much cos the choices for gear at the premium end are somewhat one sided and obvious).
