I can get an i7 2700k for $220 but I need a Havik 140, motherboard, psu, seagate barracuda 2tb ($110), optical drive, all for $600. What motherboard psu and optical drive are good for within $600 including the havik and i7.

I will recomend parts but I need to know If you need a read/write drive,extra PCI slots,and how many cards you think you will get eventualy.
You are getting a great deal on your CPU as Newegg currently sells it for $330.00. It has the built in graphics so I see this is why you have not listed a GPU. This is a good thing because with what I have added up you only have $205.00 to play with. Do you already have RAM, an OS, and a case? Could use a little more information before making any honest suggestions.
