Hi,
I am looking for a new monitor, but I don't know what to look for. I am going to use it a lot for gaming and some productivity stuff like video editing. What is the difference between a tn panel and a IPS panel and which is better for gaming, and also is the respons time THAT important? I don't want anything bigger then 24 inch so 1080P resolution is enough. I have a budget of 200 to 220 euros. So what do you guys recommend?

Dell U2312HM fits your needs perfectly.
It has very good color reproduction for the price (after calibration). It has some response time and you can see it in some cases but it doesn't affect gaming in any significant way.
It also has awesome stand that adjusts in 3 dimensions.
Thanks for the suggestion, it's a 60 Hz display and I was looking for a monitor obviously and there were a lot of 75 Hz displays is this a significant difference?
60Hz is kind of the standard refresh for all IPS panels. You can set some to run at 75Hz in the settings.
I'd recommend taking a look at any ASUS IPS panels in your price range.
So do you think I'm better off with a IPS panel or a fast ( 1 or 2 ms response time ) TN panel?
TN is only good for gaming, IPS is better for everything else and is fine for gaming.
I agree with dissentient. IPS is plenty good enough for gaming, and has a wider use.
