After I finished reading Naruto back when it ended I have a hole I need to fill.
I liked Bakuman so I might read Death Note. That, Oncepiece or Fairytale.
Any recommendations?

Here's a few I enjoyed, i have a weird taste in manga. i read whatever i find interesting to me, as of late it's been romance/love comedies and horror mangas. im not all that into the popular manga's like Attack on Titan or Naruto or Bleach or whatever even though i read those and they were great.
Love Hina - [this manga is a romance/comedy. it has alot of funny moments, and minor "FEELS" moments]
this story focuses on the protagonist who struggles to keep a promise he made to a girl, when he was a child. that promise was to get into "Toudai" also known as Tokyo University [the best school in japan].
Nozoki Ana - this manga is the definition of "Slice of Life" and many "FEELS moments and one of my personal favorite mangas of all time. the author in my opinion just knows how to put you in the position/make you feel like your in the protagonist's shoes.
this is a love story but this goes straight to the heart with details, it really explores how fucked up love can truly be.
Ana Satsujin - [this manga has TOO many "HOLY SHIT it's about to go down moments also alot of suspense] it's mainly about how a suicidal teenager falls in love with a girl who is a murderer.
Elfen Lied - probably the most fucked up manga I've ever read, but it's SO memorable. it really explores the psychological effects of abuse/discrimination. well not racial discrimination, but just for being different. [there is alot of killing in this manga.
Kangoku Gakuen [Prison School] - (this manga has alot of "hillarious/holy shit it's about to go down moments) the story is about 5 guys who have applied to a private school that was once a female boarding school, it later became co-ed, if the guys do anything wrong, they end up in "the schools prison" which is almost no different than an actual prison, except they begin to be abused by the "female students" of the school.. and to get your mind out the gutter NOT sexually.
Some of these sound pretty cool, I will probably give Elfen Lied and Kangoku Gakuen a try. Thanks for the recommendations.
gantz was good.
my favorite is still Uzumaki
Kangoku Gakuen just got added to my plan to watch list..This manga will have a animated series release this summer..
I second your Elfen Lied recommendation
Fairy Tail is all right, but you need to read Death Note - that is one hell of a story. To this day my favourite one. If you don't mind long (and I mean LONG) reading, try Bleach. It's one of the big Trinity (Naruto, Bleach, One Piece) and the main character is badass. It's currently finishing, so go get it while it's warm :)
Thanks, I'm definitely gonna try Death Note with Elfen Lied.
The good thing about FT manga is that you don't have to listen/read their idiotic conversations. I could write whole essay as to why FT is complete trash from day 1.
Death Note = 10/10
I don't usually read manga if there is animation going on at the same time but sometimes the mangas are much better than their anime versions. Rosario+Vampire is a good example.
I have seen Elfen Lied anime and liked only half of it. The rest was just "bring another girl into my harem" type of story. I don't know if I want to read the manga because I read the wiki-page and know exactly how it ends. Not to mention how depressing the end was.
I read Ana Satsujin and didn't like it. It is kind of dumb. All i saw was a Girl with a fetish for killing people and helpless guy who freaks out on regular basis.
My top favourites are Berserk, Gantz and Claymore
Maybe you should take a break from manga and swing low with some of the greats of british horror comics. Hellblazer is my favorite, but the Sandman is also worth a look. Nothing like the gritty, paranormal type to get you in a good mood.
