I am hoping my new year's resolution to be 2560x1080... Or 1920x1080 freesync... Otherwise freesync... I have been drooling for so long at freesync, that I will freesync it up this year... Otherwise nothing really... Hopefully more social contacts, since this year suffered massively on that area...
I don't believe in New Year's resolutions. Setting one or two large goals for yourself and making their success dependent on the year is setting yourself up for failure.
If you truly want to change your life make small, incremental changes and start making them right now.
Then self review every little while and ensure you're on track
That's what I did to lose weight a couple years ago. Go for a little at a time, and suddenly I had dropped over 60 pounds.
To be more on topic, general goal for 2016 is to graduate with my B.S. and get a job related to said degree, not necessarily in that order. I'm lined up to graduate in May and I've applied to eight or nine positions just the other day. Maybe see if it's worth it switch my minor to a second degree since it should only be an extra 4 or 5 classes or thereabouts.
force myself to study regularly, until it's second nature. or at least palatable. Only ever needed to do a bit of cramming before tests to do well, but Uni isn't so forgiving
New years resolutions are a joke to me - they almost invariably fail.
It doesn't have anything to do with resolutions or anything, but I've been in limbo for about two years. I've had solid, gainful employment for the past 18 months, though, so it's been okay. But this year will be when I start to move on with my life. All the arrangements will be made by the end of January.
This isn't my new year's resolution, it just happens to line up with the start of the year, but I'm ready to get my motorcycle endorsement and start a YouTube channel.
How do you recommend learning to code? Where should someone start? I was thinking of auditing a basic computer science class this year. I don't get credit but I will get access to the classes, teacher, and online study materials.
In the past, Ive tried Codcademy, Free Code Camp, and other free online classes. However, Ive always reached the point of frustration with the material. The material goes from basic lessons to using all of the lessons together to code a basic website or program. I never learned well unless I had a teacher to help guide me through my basic (stupid) questions.
