These threads are always my favorite and seem to be the most popular. SO guys please list your favorite headset feel free to post a picture and list why.
Ill start I have a pair of Turtle Beach X-12 bought them because they are cheap but they do sound good but I will be buying a new pair after this thread.
I'm looking at the Logitec G930 Logitec G35 Madcatz F.R.E.Q. 7 Audio Technica ATH-PG1 Skullcandy P.L.Y.R.1 (heard the fall apart and break to easy it's a design flaw)
I have no idea what to go with do want to try a 7.1 headset tho.
I liked Steelseries 4H because, it's pretty comfortable, but cable was so thin. Currently using Logitech G320, which is like the worst for me. Upgrading to HyperX Cloud very soon.
wow those videos kind of pissed me off thought I was going to be able to actually pick my own headphone parts "Make your own custom headphones" misleading as all hell.
i use a superlux 681 evo and a mod mic. Will probably get some nicer headphones once there are some price drops but for 40 bucks they sound great. They are also very comfortable.
Based on this your budget is about $220. Meaning that you really shouldn't be looking at anything from that list. Watch the Tek Syndicate videos and do what they tell you to do, get a really nice pair of headphones for $150, then buy the mod mic and attach it. It's well worth the money (especially if you were considering wasting it on Mad Catz) and you'll have better sounding headphones and a better sounding mic, if you follow their way.
The other option if you don't want to do what Logan says is the Steelseries 9Hs, Logan did a review of them and highly recommended them saying if you don't want to do it manually then these are the way to go... I think...
Based on someone's recommendation on this forum, I plan on getting some Mad Dog or Alpha Dog headphones soon. I plan on buying them when I can get an electronic drum kit.
I have tried a lot of more expensive headphones and even still own a pair of sennheiser HD205-II headphones, but I prefer this low priced logitech circumaural (band around the back of the head) stereo headset I got used for $2 at a goodwill store years ago.
It seems to no longer be made, so I doubt I will find the model number.
from what I hear from friends pretty good. I have never used it as a mic for video/audio creation so I can't say about that but friends say I'm clear and say it is better than what I had and that was a Logitech G35.
I'm using the Turtle Beach PX5's. Used them on my PS3, now just have them plugged into my optical port on my pc and the mic is hooked up with Bluetooth. I like that they are wireless and for me they sound fine but I'm no audiophile.
