What is your dream PC?

I want a PC that is so powerful that it could do easily render physics simulations in real-time, emulate any game at full speed, and have a robust A.I program that is about halfway close to human general intelligence.

Both the GPUs and CPUs are graphene running in terahertz clock speeds, at least a terabyte of RAM, DNA hard drives or storage options that can hold all of the information of the Internet many times over, etc.

What kind of cookie? I gotta know before I can commit to anything.

Anything with a gpu, I am gaming on a intel igpu, the struggle is real!

Chocolate and bacon (they're great trust me).

Yes, however you can't just whip up a PPC machine. I'm using google sketchup to properly show my machine that I really would shit myself if I owned it. (Ex-BTX, PPC, all of it; custom case.... The works).

already have my dream pc. now working on my dream server.

I would be happy with a PC that's "mid-level", not just an i3 CPU and R7 CPU. i5/Xeon and an R9 480 would be enough.
Oh, and a motherboard/case that supports more than 6/4 3.5" HDDs. I want to add HDDs, not have to replace those with less capacity.
Other than that I'm fine. Even if I was to "go all out" on components I would still not just go for the most expensive stuff.

What would be nice though is a modular PC case, like mobo (RAM, CPU, GPU, maybe an m.2 SD for OS and drivers) and PSU in one enclosure, and all the HDDs/SSDs in a seperate enclosure but connected to eSATA ports on the rear I/O of the motherboard. Matching designs of course. Think of the HAF Stacker but more compact and maybe able to lay them on the side to fit it under a monitor shelf. Put them together or place them seperately.

Ultimate killer APU with 20x20cm (200x200mm=40000mm^2) die size, integrated 64GB HBM8.0, Dual AMD Rage 8GB (Fury+x amount of time = rage) GPU paired with Dual W9100 32GB, 16 cores made from gold that do not need clockrate as they run on light.
That is it!

I'd like an ITX rig in a case with a built in screen that folds away and fits in a backpack with space for peripherals.

Like that thing Tek Syndicate built with the ipad screen, but smaller.

Coutresy of Whirlpool.

In my dream system all the components would be connected with pure light instead of silicon, a fully optical system, no need for fiber. The processor would be a hyper efficient quantum chip with a comparable number of logic gates to a tradition chip. The storage would operate at the same speed as the RAM, in fact both probably would run from the same component, and have only a slightly-less-than infinite capacity. The display is worn through contact lenses that project the image directly into the eyes so it can run as VR or an overlay. The entire device would be powered by a nuclear battery that lasts millennia, and would fit in the palm of your hand.

A PC with the performance to run all games of the past/present/future at 8k/240FPS while recording at least 4k/120FPS......on Linux.

Edit: Because fuck windows (almost forgot that)

My dream pc would fix it's problems on it's own.

"Here, pc, have a new processor! What? Incompatible? Well make it work, dummy! And while you're on it, here is four different kinds of memory. Deal with it!"

And the computer just goes:

OK.

Something similar to Razers Christine concept, a 'main tower' where the user can plug in the modules of his/her choosing. Also different sizes so you guys can still have a somewhat portable system. Too bad they scrapped it, but didn't ASUS present something similar at CES?...

Windows 20 is cloud only needs smart phone to access & use ..

C'mon... you are a tease for not adding up the bottom line on your maxed out PCPartPicker list.

My dream pc would be all solid state. All components being able to communicate at the same speed.

Instead of hard drives it would be just sticks of memory.

I would settle for long boot times if during boot it would place everything on the drives into RAM.

Ill be happy when I open a game and it loads as quick as minesweeper.

Well hey, now that Iā€™m here, let me share my current rig, 'cause Iā€™m not much of a dreamer. Sure, itā€™s a bit old and in need of some serious upgrades, but itā€™s mine and it is noice.
