So I bet many of you have pondered this though. Seeing as the majority of us are hardcore PC gamers, this enbarks an interesting question -- what would your dream game be like. Coming off of archtypes like Setting, Plot, Gameplay, and allaround feel. What would your game contain, would the protagonist be male or female? Will the setting be dark and gritty like Max Payne's Noir New York or more like a something else that isn't awesome. That last part was a joke. In allseriousness, my heart is aching due to the amount of crap that is just ported to PC nowadays, and the lack of exclusive there of.
This is what my dream game would be like:
Setting: Some colony off-world somewhere. Maybe mars or planet in another galaxy.
Plot: Bladerunner comes to mind. Just like the setting, I'd like a painfully noir element to go along with the dark world built around it.
Gameplay: Lots of character customization and optimization. Almost simulator-like realism. Grand Theft Auto 4's houseing system comes to mind. Preferably first person, too.
I'd like to make a PC game equivalent of the movie Bladerunner. Not just like it, but I'd like to have enough of its elements for it be as awesome as the movie (with RPG elements).
The game that allows me to be GIJoe. Like a hybrid GTA, crysis, GTA.. just an all around action game. That would be epic. That is why I like GunZ.. it's everything I want besides the ability to free walk around a large map with civilians and cops and stuff, but the multiplayer is nonetheless fun.
I'd like to see an MMO based around PVP and with good PVE. EQ2 is the closest I've seen to this. WAR is getting there with their new expansion but they completely separated the Order and Chaos PVE. What I'd really like to see is a PVP MMORPG where two sides are fighting over areas with loot drops and xp mobs. Make it open world with real travel (no instaport boats, birds, dragons, crystals, hot-air-balloons, magical toilets etc...) and you'll have my patronage for many years to come. FINAL FANTASY, DRAGON QUEST, METAL GEAR SOLID 4 and all Japanese games on PC at 2560X16000 and in Japanese that would be awesome no more need for a console to play Japanese import games.
a grand theft auto game set in the 1920's would have alot of potential. infact i think its inevitable that rockstar will make something like that once they exhaust all the stereotypes for modern organized crime.

Rockstar is publishing Team Bondi's L.A. Noire, though its been in the back burner for a while. Its debut trailer was in 2006 but it went cold after that. You should look it up. It was similar to Mafia, and it's produced by Rockstar Games. Looks like the game you want. Write angry letters to them lol.
My dream game would be: a game where you play as a mechanically augmented cyborg (not nano augmented) and you have to stop a evil super computer from destroying the world.
