Not sure if this has already been answered in an earlier thread or not, bit what does Wendell actually do for a living? Noticed that he uses 5/6 monitors and was curious what he could actually need them for??

Most one-size-fits-all drupal modules are terrible, including "Advanced Forum."
It's probably just a time thing - As in, The web/dev(s) have very little time to customize features.
He runs his own business offering a plethora of IT related services targeted towards businesses. From what I understand, it's primarily Drupal development and support (Tek Syndicate is powered by Drupal). The other services, as I understand it, include consulting, research, and setup/configuration of hardware, networks, etc.
That's all I'm going to say because last time I gave too much info and got a friendly reminder to not spill the beans too much. :)

Probably for when he is doing jobs that require multiple windows. He can have each window on a different screen. also if he is compiling something he can have it open in the top corner so he can keep an eye on it in case it goes wrong.
What is the best advice you can give to me if I want to be something like this. I will take some training next week for MCTS 70-680 (win 7). Is it good enough to start there?
