I was making a build with the 8350 and i was getting concerned about heat because of the climate i live in. So i was thinking about not getting an SSD and using that money for a better cooler. But i was concerned it might not be worth buying such a small SSD. Is it worth me buying a small SSD i was trying to keeping it in the 50-60 dollar range so thats around 32gb. Is that even enough to hold the OS?
For $50-60 its not worth it because your going to get like a 30-64gb ssd for that much that wont be that fast.
your idea for getting a better cooler is a good one I would go with that.
hope it helped
you could pick up a 64GB SSD for the OS and a few programs and youd definitley feel it in the snappieness and responsiveness of the system, i think Some ADATA and Mushkin SSD are around 60$ for 60GB
I would suggest spending about $10 more on an SSD and getting one of these: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/crucial-internal-hard-drive-ct064m4ssd2
Most of the 32GB SSDs are really low end and aren't very fast at all.
Where did you get the picture for that avatar?
Yeah this is a good idea. But be aware of the fact that 60gb gets filled up pretty fast, so be sensible with managing your data. I have an ADATA 128gb drive myself, which I would highly recommend getting.
I'd say 128 gb is the way to go. not too expensive, enough room for OS, essentials + some overhead. You don't want to be spending $60 bucks on a drive that keeps filling up like a madman.
