I need a good website where I can get all the parts to build a computer for minimum ammount of money. Do any of you guys have an idea of a website I could shop on?
I personally like NCIX.com (us.ncix.com in the us), they are based out of Canada (if that matters to you), but they have an American branch. I tried to buy something from Newegg.com a few months ago and found their customer service to be appaling, weres NCIX is just great, if you have a problem, they will get right back to you within days (sometimes hours). I just bought almost my entire rig from them in the last few weeks. Don't forget to check for weekly deals, and check out LinusTechTips on youtube (and NCIXcom).
Another couple of sites are TigerDirect, I havent bought much from them, but they seem pretty good, with decent deals. Also Amazon, they have pretty good deals on some obscure items, often with free shipping. A word of adive with Amazon though, watch for resells, there are quite a few things that are actually being sold through Amazon by TigerDirect, and there can be return issues/delays.
Good Luck, and happy hunting!
For Canada I only shop at Newegg and NCIX, they also both have US versions although Newegg is US based and NCIX is based in Canada. I find it's easier to navigate Newegg but NCIX usually has better selection and more niche products as well.
Edit: Unlike UberFefa, when I had to deal with Newegg customer service it was actually really good. I got a PSU that I had to return because it was DOA (Well, not really DOA, but defective) and I got the rep to get Newegg to cover all of the $30 it cost me to ship it back to them, which they aren't obligated to do. I've never had to deal with NCIX customer service so I don't know what theirs is like.
I shop at NCIX because it's one 25 minute bus ride away. Also, good deals, great sales, etc.
Fair enough, customer service is one of those things, sometimes its good, sometimes it bad, but I decided not to buy things from them again.
