Hey again teksyndicate. I really need a few abobe programs. Just flash is urgent. I'm not proud about what i'm about to do, but...

utorrent is pretty good. i use it on my pc and android, sure there are some ad's in the pc version but so what? that's how they make money and continue to offer a good product.

uTorrent is good. But another question, what are some tips for avoiding downloading any viruses and stuff. i do not have much experience with torrents. so some generalized tips would be fine.

i duno, i try not to download any programs off of there. i mainly utilize torrents for my media consumption. 

if you are going to download programs i suggest you get a good virus scanner, maybe even use torrents in a virtual environment to minimize any damage malware might cause.

read the comments in the torrrent listing, sometimes it offers insights to fake files.

Torrents aren't illegal, but people use the technology for illegal things.

My favorite client is Transmission, because it is simple, open source, and has plenty of plugins. Queuing is pretty easy to setup.

Utorrent is icky - not open source. Vuze is less icky, open source, but very cumbersome.

Yes, there (kind of) is.

kickasstorrents has a great community (that I don't bother with) and a lot of seeders. Try other sites for more obscure stuff though.

I've uploaded 475gb and my ratio is 5.11. It's mostly old stuff like monty python, some underground music and a few good  movies and tv shows. And games of course, good games or games that are not worth buying (like crysis, it's just a benchmark).

Torrents are not illegal......torrenting is missused a lot to download illegal or copyrighted material.

Torrents,torrenting and torrent clients are not illegal.
