What happened and what I'm working on now

I'm back again after a somewhat short hiatus. Unfortunately I have to state the obvious that the multiplayer vehicle-shooter that I was working on known as Genobyte has been scrapped. At the time I lacked the skills and technical know-how to pull off such an ambitious project. After encountering multiple technical issues and a full engine swap I finally lost interest in and motivation to work on the project. College then got in the way and I simply took a break from any sort of development.

Over the last few months I've sharpened my coding and art skills quite a bit and have started working on a new project. I opted to use the same name simply because I like it. Whether it ends up being the final name is to be determined. This time I'm working on a racing game loosely inspired by F-Zero and I aim to keep things simple. Feature creep will be avoided at all costs and I'm confident in my ability to see this project through to completion.

As far as technical details go, I plan to release this game on the PC platform (Windows, Linux, Mac) first with eventual ports to console should things go well. A mobile version may follow after that. I have no idea how music will be done. I'll either try and find some to use or look into crowdfunding for that aspect when the time comes.

The following YouTube playlist will contain any and all development videos in chronological order.

Finally I'd like to apologize to anyone who was looking forward to my previous project. I failed to really notify anyone of the project being cancelled and ultimately I forgot about the forum topic and YouTube channel for awhile. Hopefully things remain stable from this point on.
