What GPU to get without bottle-necking my current system?¿

Heyo,  my system is fairly outdated compaired to most peoples rigs nowa days.  Now, I have no problem building a PC from scratch, but upgrading a PC one part at a time with out having the rest of the rig be bottlenecked by the CPU or ram is something I am not familar with.  Below are my current system specs and I could use some guidance as far as what to switch  to.

CPU Q9550

GPU 4850 1GB

MB gigabyte UD35R (I think) I know its a UD

OCZ 8gb

HD basic WD 72rpm

Samsung 1920x1200

 PSU Antec 650W

Before I answer, what is your budget?

~300$ I was thinking about the GTX 660ti but the spread sheet i looked at said about 400$ thats a little much atm.

I also forgot to mention my PSU is 650W

For just under your budget you can ge tthe 7850, it overclocks to match the 580, some even higher.

Your CPU may bottleneck in games like BF3 it but its best to spend the most you can now and be free to upgrade later.

If you are keeping the rest of your PC as it is for years to come then it may not be worth it, if thats the case then you wouldnt need to spend that much money, you could get a second hand 5870/470 and it would match your CPU nicely.
