So i need a new GPU right now i have a geforce gt 240. i had a idea to get a 970..but im scared it will bottleneck im not really sure what bottleneck is really.
So what would a good gpu be for around 350$ bucks
-SPEC-
CPU: AMD FX-6300 Vishera 6-Core 3.5GHz
MOBO: GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3P
GPU: geforce gt 240
memory : Kingston Hyper X Blu 4GB
PSU: 600 WATT thermaltake
You should also get more RAM
My ram and the GPU i will be buying at the same time, ill have 12GB of ram.
It will not bottleneck even with a 980. Performance may be a little less compared to someone with a i7 because a certain game may need more CPU juice but that's not the GPU bottlenecking at all that's just because the i7 is better.
OC a 290, and get more RAM. 970 is kind of limited in bandwith (512 vs 256bit).
forget everything about the whole bullshit 970 thing people just talked great about it when it 1st came out so just get a 970 the card didn't change people just get butt hurt and bitched about it.
A GTX 970 would be your best bet. YOu should also add 4GB of memory to help you as well.
