What Gaming monitor to get? Please help

Hello everyone, I am currently in the middle of buying my PC parts but am confuse of the lack of infomation for what Gaming monitor i should get. I don't play RTS etc.. but I play FPS's such as battlefield 3 and alot of other games (dayz, Farcry 3 ect...). I would love to get a 120HZ monitor but i have a limit of $300AUD ($312USD not that was necessary). I like monitors with adjustable stands and a resolution of 1080p aswell as 24-inch displays would be nice aswell.
