TBH… I first got started on MechForce on the AMIGA!
It was a MW Fan Made tabletop game on screen with a map covered in hexagons. I had to roll electronic dice to take chances on if my shots hit or not.

No Man’s Sky - VR
NMS dropped a big patch / DLC recently. When I found out it has native VR support, I had to try it. The VR is so immersive you kinda forget that most of the time (got it yesterday) i’m just shooting at rocks to mine resources. I have never played Minecraft or Survival strategy games. But NMS is fun somehow. Can’t wait to repair my ship so I can fly in space.
Now to finish the achilles story
Wrapping up Elden Ring, the Haligtree area is so cool. I will probably do a ng+ play through after this and then get the DLC.
Also casually playing:
Dome Keeper
Hades
Deep Rock Galactic Survivor
I’m not going to assume this but just in case you may have missed it, Steam is giving away Half-Life 2 for free right now.
Basically a 20 year anniversary update release.
Along with the other HL games.
Just added it to my ALT account so going to fire it up on this WS machine and see how it looks after all these years
I thought I saw an RTX version of HL2 recently. Is it part of the update?
I’m back to playing Half Life Alyx, but this time with developer commentaries since I’m not worried about spoilers.
10/10 would recommend - it offers great insight into game design, development, story telling, testing and solving new challenges for VR titles.
I’ve been playing Beyond all Reason, it’s a RTS. Pretty fun! I’m very much still a noob, I’ve never played RTS games seriously. But it has a native Linux port that runs great! Somebody want to play?
Playing Minecraft Dungeons and actually quite having family friendly fun!
Just picked up Project Zomboid, calling it Sims with zombies is actually fairly accurate and private multiplayer is fun too.
Hey, I played it in VR as well. I played through it and I really liked it, although it didn’t delivered what was initially promised by CDPR. IMO, if they kept the game smaller in scope (like Deus Ex) it may have had a better development. I the end I am glad it turned out the way it did, because after all these patches it clicked for me and I really enjoyed sightseeing and the long driving sessions in VR.
Addon spoiler:
The Casino you visit in the addon was so immersive and intense in VR.
Main story spoiler:
I didn’t get the secret ending, because I chose the hileriously silly answer when it came to Johnny Silverhands relation with his former love, but I stood by my decision
Red Dead Redemption 1
Revisiting Cyberpunk 2077, havent played since ver 1, without DLC… I do like the Universe they created and lore. Added a few mods for giggles nothing game breaking.
Also started Robocop Rogue City-not too far in, seems a little slow going (IE walking arou d every where can be very slow and tedious, BUT I am exploring everywhere and I am a “machine”…but if you were a fan of these movies (ie orginal and 2…we dont talk about 3) it definately has that 80’s feel.
I have a few others to get into…but not much time with two puppies and now two puppies recovering from surgery.
Next on the Horizon:
Nearing the end of:
Factorio *might purchase the DLC
Playing epilogue:
Red Dead Redemption 2 (amazing game)
AFKing:
Old School Runescape b/c no need to actively participate in woodcutting for weeks
Found myself back on MechWarrior Online. How I missed that game; the toxicity of the community, however, is not something I missed.
