What game are you currently playing thread?

I’ve decided that I’m going to play and finish at least 3 games in my back log before I buy anymore, so I’ll be finishing Doom(2016), Meteo 2033 and either Control or Dark Messiah. Turns out I’m not as good at games as I used to be, so it might take a while to get through em.

Just swt it at normal difficulty. IIRC that is where the devs make it actually reasonably difficult, without bs.

Depending on your playstyle (mine was pacifist stealthy), you should probably play Metro first so you can vent out your frustration with Doom later. :joy:

I am trying to install Star Trek Online without having to use Steam to get Star Trek Online installed. I am using Bottles, but I have not had any luck installing Star Trek Online; the bottle I create keeps failing. I might look at an install script I found for Star Trek Online to see what else I need to install into the bottle.

Tried it but didn’t like it

Is there a particular reason not to use the Steam version?

There are two good reasons not to use the Steam version of Star Trek Online. I have Steam installed on my Kubuntu desktop, but it is a messed up install. Second, I am trying to learn how to create bottles for some business-only Windows programs I don’t want to install on a virtual Windows machine.

I’m playing everything on the steam deck which might be a bit of a of a handy cap on Dark Messiah, but everything else has played nicely. I actually just beat Doom last night haha! I guess I have Doom Eternal to switch to if I need to blow off some steam.

It’s time to poop on cars, beat people with baseball-bats, get some mad swag, and use a blowtorch to set things on fire.

What? No it’s not GTA. It’s ‘Just Crow Things’

Get it with a launch discount of 10% at time of writing:

Also on Switch BTW if that’s your jam

Please note; I am not affiliated in >any way< with the developer or publisher! I just really like this game (fell in love with it while playing the demo… How could I not?)

Do try Pump it by Black Eyed Peas or Ghostmane Nihil

If I play, it is mostly Europa Universalis 4

Is anyone currently playing Valve’s semi-secretive playtest of their upcoming game? Also recently obtained access to the Delta Force playtest.

Tryin’ to find some people to play with.

Somehow in my maddening world, I found a few time to play Dredge… I guess it is appropriate since it seems that everything seems to be going mad.

Yup I like it and I am embracing the Deep.

Satisfactory
American Truck Simulator
Car Mechanic Simulator 2020

Don’t burn out before the 10th haha

Yeah, I’m psyched. This is actually the second time a game release has landed at the same time as I’m changing jobs. I managed to get an entire week off before I start my new job, so I’m definitely going to be putting some time into it haha

I actually wanted to jump into the early access for the latest WoW expansion (just can’t seem to stay away) but my sub is up at the moment, and the fiscally responsible adult in me is telling me no.

Don’t do it.

It’s such a time sink, such a waste of money.

And new WoW will never be TBC or WOTLK

So true. I’ll never forget the excitement of TBC.

That said, I do enjoy the mindless time sink at times, hahaha.

I finished Sea of Stars earlier this month and wrote a review for it here:

TL;DR 7/10; The art, music and world are really nice, but the characters and story really suffer.

I’m currently played River City Girls on the PS4 and Hogwarts Legacy on the PS5 … so far Hogwarts is so bad I just want to hate finish it to write a bad review.
