Does anyone else listen to somber orchestral music while playing games like Battlefield 3.4 or bad company 2 just curious.
Nah, I can't sound whore with music on. slightly /s
I'll listen to music if I'm playing Elite: Dangerous. Although, saying that, it has a nice orchestral soundtrack. Normally, I listen to music to either keep me entertained, or keep me focused. In the case of Elite, it's to keep me entertained through the grind, and in the case of Rocket League, it's to keep me focused.
I'm a simple man when it comes to music, also I'm always changing it and I don't tend to keep my playlists very long, mostly just not a fan of things that are, too slow I guess.
What I find my self doing more and more is listening to a podcast whilst playing more casual shooters like BF3/4 or csgo in a non-competitive setting.
I used to listen to t.A.T.u while playing halo reach if anyone remembers them.
Two Steps From Hell to Hammerfall/Within Temptation depending on my mood.
If the game has a nice soundtrack I will go with that.
The lamentation of my enemy's women.
Plini just takes me away to some ethereal plane.
La Dispute has some of the best lyrics I've ever heard. Their songs are poetry.
Gentle Storm is a perfect fantasy game / skyrim music
For action games, wretched is pretty awesome. This is going to be my doom soundtrack.
I've never liked listening to music while gaming. I feel guilty because I could be listening to something that's intellectually stimulating on some level. I listen to the Tek and podcasts and stuff.

Idle weekend is my favorite.

I don't often listen to Music while gaming because most of the time I'm talking to people anyway. I just have some (weird) exceptions: I listen to anything while playing Skyrim (though lately it has been either amon amarth or a german rap band named trailerpark), I listen to Marilyn Manson while playing gta 5, and I listen to Static-X while playing Borderlands 2
Quite honestly it is extremely rare that I keep the music on for a game as for me it takes away from the immersion and realism. I was just playing Fallout 3 on PS3 today and I had the music on to start but realized my God this is just bothering me. I want to hear what is happening in the environment and not some dinner music or whatever to set the mood. Now as for games I think I keep music on in well EA NHL games are one where I do it but I don't think it plays much if at all during the game. I can't remember much as I haven't even played the NHL 16 I got this year yet. LOL! Anyway to each his own but 99.9% of the time no music for me when gaming.
Depends on the game. I usually just listen to the game audio/music. I've been playing a lot of Minecraft recently where I'll listen to a podcast (Co-optional, Awesome Hardware, Wan Show) or some music sitting in my library. Symphonic Metal is my new favourite genre to listen to so I've had that going non-stop with Minecraft.
A long time ago I used to play music while gaming. I lost out on a lot of important information within the games because of it. I also found it to be a distraction when playing first person shooters. It was unbearable.
Usually Hans Zimmer.
This is my playlist when i game
Wasn't that in a iijeriichoii vid? xD
I tend to listen to a lot of drum and bass while gaming unless the music from the game is enough.
The in game music
Same here. I usually listen to the in-game OST unless the game has a radio plugin like GTAV. Then I'll make personal playlists that compliment the game's feel. I remember EVE had a OST playlist back in the day, but anyone know if they ever added a music import/personal playlist feature?
