What do you guys think of this planned budget build?

Just like the title says! Would love your folks opinion on this budget build I want to put together. My main focus is gaming and video editing for my YouTube channel. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/VvNgGX

What's with the SSDs?

get an FX 8 core, and not that motherboard, either get this motherboard which is probably the best cheap board, or get a 990/FX board

I might go with an 8 core, I just want it to be as cheap as possible. The problem is I'm in Canada, so if you change your PC partpicker to canada, you'll see the price instantly jump by like $200-300 :'(

So your build is 800 CAD then?

You're probably going to have to go with a 380

as @Streetguru suggested, get the Deepcool Tesseract case. The SW is the same price as the BF right now. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811853002&cm_re=deepcool_tesseract-_-11-853-002-_-Product If you're on EST you have 30 mins to get it with the $5 promo code. I just ordered mine to replace my cramped micro atx rosewill ranger-m. I'm guessing the promo code can be applied to newegg.ca

A lot of people have commented on the PSU, I'll definitely get a better one. I don't know, though. My main reason for getting the 6300 was that not only is it cheap, but the number of cores ensures it will play even the newest games, some of which just don't work well with dual cores any more. Yet am I really going to see a difference going to the 8320?

Even at its age, 8320 is still a hell of a chip.

While.I agree, it really is, I just cannot recommend AMD any more and I am still running an old 6100 bulldozer at 4ghz. But I don't know how this hold up for video rendering and editing so it may he good there.

More efficient cores is more important than the actual number. Basically Intel is better than AMD and AMD isn't even the bang for buck budget king it was some years ago.

Not always. The reality is that these days, some games just do not want dual core processors: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVl8Eupbr_E

Wasn't referring to dual cores specifically although an i3 can handle some newer games because of HT. You're trying to build a video editing rig on the cheap so I'd say go with the 8320.

I remember hearing similar excuses years ago by Intel, only then it was how important MHz were.

I wouldn't skimp on a SSD personally.
