That motherboard will be ok, but you may want a : http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-Intel-6Gbps-Motherboards-GA-Z87-HD3/dp/B00D94X6AK/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1398260107&sr=8-4&keywords=socket+1150
I would say get a 4670k its only $20+ and you could later get a aftermarket cooler and squeeze a little more out of it. But if you don't intend of ocing down the road the 4570 will suit you fine as the performance difference between both at stock really won't be felt. As for the board get which ever one has the features you want and has good reviews.
Do you have a budget? Intel is the only balanced option, and the parts you have chosen are reasonable. However, you might consider other CPUs e.g the 4670 (non-K).
As you correctly stated, FM2 options would prove to be under-powered. Though, not terrible.
You have satisfied your aim. If you desire to attain maximum performance, the 4670k and a Z87 motherboard would do a little better than the 4570 you have chosen. But the 4570 is adequate.
If it was me I would not bother with the K series regardless of system size, OC f is not needed these days really as performance is decently high, as long as its a decent quad core (Intel i5+) I have a i5 2500 CPU and performance is brilliant to say how old it is, haswell should do even better, I personally would not OC also in a ITX case due to heating issues, sure you may have a nice cooler, but think of other components such as GPUs, you dont want them to have to deal with any more heat as it will eventually effect performance, I presume your gaming, get the 4570 then use the money saved to buy your self a game or something :) win/win xD
You'll take quite a performance hit if you go the fm2 over 1150. A few games it wont be as noticeable but others like bf4 and any rendering apps etc it will be handicapped.
