they trade blows, but the 8350 can be overclocked to be faster and the money saved can be put towards a better cpu cooler

 

If you don't plan on overclocking, get an 8320, overclock it to 4.0ghz and put the money saved toward a 990fx mobo instead of a 970, or a tier higher gpu, or a cpu cooler, the money saved getting an overclocked 8320 @4ghz(really a cheaper 8350) is a large amount.

$80 cheaper for the same, if not slightly better performance. Its up to you, but $80 is a lot to put in other parts of a build.
