Seen every episode of Rick and Morty as well as The Venture Bros.
Dont really like Archer.
Seen every episode of Batman Beyond. (Was my favorite batman, and this wasnt 2 years ago) Seen every episode of Young Justice. Ive seen some of the original Justice League before it turned into Unlimited, but that also doesnt meet the critera of being within the last 2 years. Might look at Avengers Assemble someday, but currently sick of Avengers.
Watched The Dark Knight Returns very recently. I liked it. Justice League Vs Teen Titans was kinda aweful. Its like they retooled one of the original Teen Titans episodes and threw the Justice League in it.
Was considering watching Red Hood after I watched Dark Knight returns. Might check out Crisis on Two earths.
Star Wars Rebels: Despite looking like it's Disney-fied or something, it really isn't. It's basically a sequel to the The Clone Wars show (If you think that's too kiddy watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZF97aJO7MuM). The show starts off kinda weak, once you get to end of season 1, characters start to arc and have more to do with each other and the Star Wars universe (new-EU).
Bojack Horseman : It seems like a dumb adult comedy (like Family Guy or something) for the first 4 episodes, but it takes a turn at episode 5 and beyond. This past season made me kinda depressed at the end haha. It's funny, but deep, in a way.
All right lets do this... First of all I am not paying attention to the 2 years parameter (who can keep track of release dates anyway).
Shows: King of the Hill Ugly Americans Metalocolypse Frisky Dingo Bojack Horseman Dilbert Duckman Sealab 2021
Steven Universe and Gravity Falls (both are amazing)
Movies: The Triplets of Bellewille The Illusionist Anomalisa Igor The Congress Kirikou and the Sorceress Technotise - Edit and I The Secret of Kells The Suicide Shop
I dislike We Bare Bears. I didnt care for Amazing World of gumball. Seen so many scooby doos to the point that I want nothing to do with it. I watched a fair amount of Over The Garden Wall but I couldnt get into it.
Saw the Book Of Life and thought it was pretty bleh.
Ill look into Anthem of the Heart.
Sell me why I would like The Loud House and Star Vs The Forces of Evil.
I guess I'd recommend South Park when Chef was on the show. I also think there are so good old cartoons you should see with Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd in them. Also Foghorn Leghorn was quite good. I know I am likely forgetting something but this is a good starting place for you to see great cartoons.
Oh and yes I realize that these were not made in the last 2 years. I can't think of anything I'd want to recommend form the last 2 years.
The style of The Loud House is based on newspaper comic strips and its a slice of life series revolving around a kid with ten sisters. I really enjoy how every single person in the series has a defining character.
Star vs The Forces of Evil could be considered a Gravity Falls replacement as falls into that style/theme. I really like how the secondary character Marco is not weak or useless and really fights the enemies in the show. I also like the ships.
