Doing more research, I have found that you can in fact use drones for scouting herds of deer or elk as long as you are not harassing other hunters. I guess that would turn into a he said/she said argument though, since anyone can just make up a definition of harassment. A lot of the laws are subjective, and I guess it just depends on if you are being reasonable with your drone, and whether the cop is going to be reasonable. Well, YOLO!
Also I have seen someone build a star destroyer drone.
