After swapping my laptop's Hard drive out for a SSD, I have a spare 500GB Hard drive - I don't know what to do with it though!
I already have a NAS, so I have places to stream from, torrent to and backup my PC.
I do alot of gaming but can't think of a way this could be used to assist my gaming in any way as my desktop's hard drive has enough room and my laptop is only used for school work anyway!
What would you do with this drive?
You can get nice little housings for 2+1/2 inch hdds they convert the sata and power in to a mini usb, it could become a handy portable drive? it costs like $5-$10 but means ur spare hdd can be useful. Might help
You could connect the drive to your router for network storage. Probably need an external housing with a usb (and power) or eSATA. I'd be interested to see how it works out.
This, buy a housing and you now have your own super portable external hard drive.
