What can get me to 5ghz on a 8350

What cooler would be able to take an fx8350 to 5 ghz stable.  Would an h80 do the trick?

Thank you in advanced for your help

probably a large air cooler. nzxt havik, thermalright silver arrow, nh-d14, or phanteks double tower

What motherboard are you wanting to use, and I suggest getting the H100i. It will help a lot more. Also a Havik 140 and the Silver Arrow Extreme both perform better than a H80, as long as you have the room from them, and not too much worst than a H100i. So, H100i or Havik 140 or Silver Arrow Extreme should be your best better. Might now get you to 5Ghz exactly, but close from a non custom LC loop.

A big power supply :)

You could invest and research for your own custom Liquid Cooling, I've heard some have more success than comercial kits.

Custom liquid cooling is always going to be the best, but if you don't want to do that, then grab a Kraken X60 as long as it fits in your case.

Thank you, I was also thinking about a thermaltake bigwater, as they are somewhta cheap, and have the same effect as a custom watercooling loop.  Are they effecient?

Just get a nice air cooler and you'll be okay. It may be the 8150 and not 8350, but I've heard of people getting up to 5GHz on something close to like a Hyper 212+/Evo.

Iv heard the 8350's are hit and miss, some will be able to get 4.7Ghz Plus if your lucky, and some will just straight up give you attitude at 4.5Ghz, id say get the best cooling possible to try and reduce that chances of it not OC'ng well

the 8350 pulls almost 300Watts at 4.7GHz i think

That too, you actually need to make sure you have a big enough PSU if your going to use an 8350

THat is insane do the intel chips draw that much power as the ghz increases?

not even close, they may pull just over 100W total on an OC, when the 8350's go to 200+w i believe

I am up to 4.8 on mine, would go higher but my gpu is not playing well with it past 4.8, where are getting these tdp's are the verified as real, or do they come from same sites that trash the 8350?

Coolermaster TPC 812 is almost on par with the H100 and its 64 bucks

There real, no site is really trashing the 8350, at least from the review sites that real people use
