What are you watching right now?

Interesting concept, I used to love these kind of books when I was young, but it fell flat on its face.

I got about 40 minutes in before I got too irritated with dead ends to continue.

I can summarize this episode with three words: #notmytitans

Watched the first one, tried to watch the second … it’s bad DC mixed with bad netflix. Unfortunately. :frowning:

Now on to something that on paper should be pretty good. I like British crime stuff, I like two of the actors… let’s see.

EDIT: Watched one episode so far. I like it, probably gonna watch the rest over the weekend.

But right now I’m watching the three stooges again!

I just finished watching the season 1 of Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans (MSG:IBO) last night.

While it’s a general run-of-the-mill anime complete with obvious “death-flags” for certain characters, I do appreciate the lack of extreme fanservice during the series that somehow plagued anime industry in the recent years.

However, the series suffered an issue of confusion with regards to what it wants to focus on during the story. Oftentimes it tries to juggle two complex ideas, which presents the viewer with a potentially deep and meaningful question, but ends up resolving itself in the most simple and basic answer: “just because”, this is exemplified in the last few episodes of season 1.

Watching the series also felt like I’m outside the lives of the characters, they often discuss about memories that they have had in some past which is not shown in the series but served as a bridge for the viewer to sympathize with the character (this is especially notable when a character has triggered his “death-flag”). This leaves me, as a viewer, to care less about the character dying or leaving because I was not able to fully internalize the gravity of a character loss due to the lack of a proper establishment of the character’s past.

Ultimately, the first season of MSG:IBO is a good series when compared to the rest of the other series it was released with in 2015 but it could still have done more.

Looking forward to watching the second season.

I switched over to Punisher S02. Couple episodes in… so far I rate it:

Just started Season 2 myself as well. So far a nice continuation, I agree.

Finished it today. It does slow down a bit over time I think or it seems like it at least. Might just be me getting used to the action scenes. The story is a bit all over the place but it’s never boring, there is always something to keep on watching.

The first season had a pretty slow couple episodes, this one seems to have a better flow overall.

Watching this right now, had to do some searching to find it:

I will say that it grew on me and eventually I got to enjoy it, but it took me a while.

I agree! I was surprised at the amount of gore and death they colorized, but see the reasoning behind it, especially as the interview narration towards the end goes. Definitely worth a watch, but those with weak stomachs be warned.

I have They Shall Not Grow old on my must watch list. But I’m a little afraid to watch it. Not a huge fan of watching humans march off to be slaughtered. It is important historically though.

Solid 5/10

This is good to know, I’ll check it out.

As a Frank Castle/Punisher fan, I hated the first season. First episode was good, and the last episode was pretty good, but outside of that I thought it was garbage, especially that bs torture porn near the end.

Not bad for a DC movie, 7/10

What am I watching right now?

I am watching a show called Life Going By.

Only 3 episodes in and enjoying it.

The one guy from the Stargate series to make it big was Jason Momoa.
Did not expect this

James Spader?
