What are the usage of more ram on GPU..?

my Mboard have [ PCI-E 2.0 x16 Bus Standard ]

I want to buy [ NVIDIA GeForce GT 630 2gb DDR3 Graphics Card  ]

there are 2 types 

1] NVIDIA GeForce GT 630  4 GB DDR3 Graphics Card  - {128-bit, 4 GB DDR3 Memory with 1066 MHz}

2] NVIDIA GeForce GT 630  2 GB DDR3 Graphics Card - {128-bit, 2 GB DDR3 Memory with 1333 MHz}

This is the ONLY difference in these gpus..! 

I use Cinema 4d , after effects.. and i have 2 1440*900.. moniters..! 

my Question is Whats are Useg of 4 GB card..? is that will help me in gaming...?

anything under a 650 is not worth it price/performance wise. Save up to about $200-300 and you have the sweet spot.

then can i buy AMD/ATI Radeon HD 6670 1GB DDR5.. is that on better than 630..?

i use mainly for cinema4d and ae.. but som time for gaming..my pc is so old ..

i currently have 9400 gt.. i want to upgrade to a better card than that..

so i was thing about 630 .. but people toltd me that card not worth it..

so now i am thinking about AMD/ATI Radeon HD 6670..! :)  i can only buy PCI Express 2.0 x16 supporting card..!

PCI express is all compatable backwards and forwards. I wouldn't worry about it.

Either of the 2 cards will run COD at that resolution fine, I used to play in a 4670 at that same resolution.  COD is not a demanding game by any means.

I would go for the 6670,  if you don't want / can't spend more in a better card.

cod runs on a potato you need video cards with more than 1gb of vram @ 1080+ resolutions and a 630 just is not good enuff to run 80% of games that high that it needs that much ram for gameing.

If you where useing it as a multi monitor set up for video or workspace then it maybe viable to have more vram but its realy a outdated card thesedays.

Thats because the game is vsync'ed to the refresh rate of your monitor.

The only way to remove that is to go in to the ini files and change it.
