What about the Kindle Fire HDX 7?

So I was looking at tablets a couple days ago and I came across the kindle fire hdx 7. It seems slightly better than the nexus 7 in a few things (like the speakers) but Amazon's version of android SUCKS for people like me (likes customization and the play store and such) so i was wondering if I could install vanilla android or something really close to vanilla on the tablet. I really hate Amazon's android o.s. and if I can't remove it for something else I won't get the tablet, unfortunately.

get it if you have amazon prime if not get a nexus 7 and have fun hacking and playing with it

You can with root, but that requires rooting or flashing a "potentially harmful" zip file. You can do it, but it wont be a simple as a few clicks. Still will be a straitfoward thing and not scary, but it will void your warranty.

Better get the Nexus 7 or something else and not deal with the hassle, but that's up too and remember I'm not trying to scare you out of it although I may be making seem worse than it is. Just google install play store kindle fire HDX 7 on youtube or google and see if its too much for you. Also try doing that with install nova launcher kindle fire HDX 7 because that will get you a normal looking homescreen.

Mutirom is my favorite reason for nexus devices.
