Shadow Warrior is officially a looter shooter. I guess I will have to wait for another Serious Sam game or Duke Nukem.
You probably could have better title your post. Are you saying looter shooter in a good way or bad way?

Well can you elaborate on why the switch to looter shooter is bad for SW2? I have heard different opinions on the game but what about you?

The new DOOM is a looter shooter they just did it correctly.
Yes but they did it so that you do not have to upgrade weapons to move through the game. The upgrades are just simply optional.
Yeah, thats the correct way to do it. Looter Shooter doesn't mean bumble around in inventory for three hours then we would count Deus Ex as a looter shooter. Its a stupid label. Its like Calling Dota and League a MOBA. Multiplayer Online Battle Arena? Thats every game with online combat. Its a stupid term TBH. Dota and League are Dota-Likes, Doom is a Shooter with Looting mechanics. Games like Shadow Warrior 2 and Division, others as well, just heavily rely on the loot which imo is lazy as hell.

Well I have refunded the game because it has become to emphasized on loot and upgrades. I rather run through it where there is overall good level design and maybe some good story. The story I could care a little less about if all I am going to be doing is shooting and slicing shit up. But I do not wanna be mocked by the game when it is telling me how much damage I am doing to the enemy. Or that my weapon is not effective enough against them. I can figure that out for my self. And do not need upgrades just to kill an enemy that is bullet spongy without at least getting the weapon upgrades.
