I have been trying to look into finding out what is happening here, but what is happening is I randomly get a weird texture not found looking image in-place of text and icons randomly. it will recover ans display the correct thing at times and other times I have to restart the system to fix. What is affected seems to be completely random. linked below was my volume indicator in the top right of my main screen. about 5 minutes before posting this, as I'm typing this its back to normal.

if you man did this happen on a fresh install, no I noticed it sometime around the installation of steam, when I switched to those drivers. I switched by recommendation of @wendell in the one TekLinux video.
Well it seems to be driver related so you could try the catalyst 15.3 beta drivers or revert back to the proprietary driver of the original install and see if it cures your problem.

finally had a day where I was not busy, and switched back to the drivers that was installed when I installed Linux, and now I can not pick any drivers from the listing and it says I'm using a manually installed driver. the original driver where I did not have the original issue was the open source driver. I can still use the PC, I just see a mirrored display and cant edit my resolution.
