Weird HDD issue

So, today I tried again to get IMMOU working, again. But I failed, somehow more then what should have happened. I tried putting my 760 into my second PCIE slot, and not my first. I booted up with only my 760 and my BIOS was cleared, weird, I did not unplug the power or anything. So I tried to boot and it said that their was no bootable device found, I messed around with the BIOS to try to get it working, that did not work. So I plugged it into a spare computer that I know that works and it still did not work. After that I tried plugging it into my sister's computer which has windows 7 to see if it would see the HDD. But to my surprise that HDD is now getting the same issue. The reason why I'm putting it under Linux is because I'm running linux, and I feel like there'd be smarter people here. Any help would be nice, I tried to reinstall linux on the hard drive but now if I try it does not load. It has been giving me a head ache. If you need any info, just ask.

I'm asking on how to fix my HDD issue, not for me trying to get IMMOU. I have no reason to get IMMOU working if my computer can't even go into the OS.

What size is the PCIE slot that your are putting it into?
I know that the 750 model needed 4 lanes (4elec/4mech).

Too me it sounds like the hardware is not showing up properly due to some PCIE configuration issue.
If you have an empty 8x slot (8elec/8mech or 4elec/8mech) I would put it into there, or a spare 16x which should be at minimum 8x-elec. I have had dual port nics that would just randomly drop connection from not having them in proper pcie slots and incompatible pcie versions.

Another thing to check is too make sure your motherboard supports PCIE v3. Technically it should work in a PCIE v2 system, just be slower and some less performance, but it's good to rule everything out.

Once you have got it showing up properly at the BIOS/UEFI you should be able to get it to show up in linux or windows without a problem.

Good luck.

I don't want to get IMMOU working right now, I want to get my main rig up and working again. My problem is that my computer, or any other computer are saying is that I do not have a working boot device.

Do you have another PC? If so download SystemResuceCD. Contrary to it's name you can put it on a USB stick too.

I'm sure you are aware, but if not, pressing F12 during bootup usually allows you to select another boot device, such as CD/DVD or USB.

I do, that is what I'm using right now, will try. I hope it works, thanks a lot.

I keep on trying to install it to my thumb drive but I for some odd reason it is saying that the size is 0mb. It is a 64GB thumb drive with nothing on it, I've tried formatting it, but that does not work.

Suggestion:

On SystemRescueCD there is a copy of gparted, see if you format your USB stick with that.

If my thumb drive is mounted it says that it has just about 60GB, once it is not mounted it says it has none.

Edit: I just got it to show up to the full space and not 0MB, it is installing right now to the thumb drive.
