Weird FX-8350 temps

in open hardware monitor i have the temp coming off the motherboard (990fx sabertooth) and the one coming off the CPU (fx-8350), which one do i trust?

the processor temp off the chip is constantly changing while the motherboard reading is more stable.

right now the cpu = about 19c
and the mother board = about 34c

lul. motherboard temp, your sensor in your 8350 must be defective.

i remember hearing that amd using a weird algorithm to determine temps and is wholly inaccurate at low temps.

I have weird temps, 40c at idle 55c at gaming load 65c at benchmark load.

stress testing with prime95

NOOOOOOOOOOO YOU DON'T DO THAT WITH AMD iauhrsdefgoushabnerlihogbsetrighsryndes

why not?

Prime 95 can overvolt AMD cpus by a significant amount.
I've personally seen it overvolt my fx 6350 by .1v back when I had a FX system.

you sure you're not thinking of intel?

it dropped my voltages from stock 1.368 to around 1.26

anyways, never got higher than 49c

odd that it's using so little... well, carry on then.

No. And does have bad sensors on their fx parts. They're very inaccurate at idle but above 20ish% load they're ok
