Some months ago, I found that my old-ish Zephyrus M15 would no longer charge the battery. Since it was already rather old, I just got a new notebook. Recently I was considering using it as a desktop since it still somewhat powerful (i7 + 2070 Max-Q.) I made an interesting discovery…while the power brick won’t charge the battery (though it will provide power to everything else) I found that the battery will charge via the USB-C port.
However the USB-C port barely provides enough power to run the laptop for web browsing etc., and certainly not gaming. And if I plug in the regular power brick (240w) and the USB-C charger, the battery will not charge at all.
This is … weird. Any suggestions?
