Western Digital is the best

Deskstar drives are the best paper weights out there. Oh IBM I never knew you could make something that would fail so often.

I have a 1TB internal Samsung that I love!  Also my new 2TB external Seagate kicks ass too :)

Western digital or seagate. I have a 1tb seagate external at home that's like 4 or 5 years old, also have a portable for my laptop, and the internal on my laptop is also a seagate.

I always use Western Digital hard drives and recommend them. But, I've used Seagate a few times and had no issues with them either.

for newer hard drives (post 2010) i prefer seagate and have had good results with them

Western Digital has always worked well for me when it comes to large external storage drives.

For thumb drives, it's Lexar all the way. Those things are virtually indestructable.

I have both Western Digital and Seagate but my preference is the Western Digital. Now if we are talking SSD then the Kingston Hyper X is my weapon of choice.

I don't really have a certain drive for performance. but for everyday non-intensive use i like my hitachi. In my expeirence hitachi seems to run a little it cooler, it works well in a laptop without air flow

Better question, who still uses HDDs?  Aren't those legacy devices yet?

many people use hard drives still. ssds still have a higher price per gigabyte. for enterprise, hdds are still the perfered choice and many consumers. i need the extra space for when i edit videos
