I'm just starting to get into HTML when I realized a major thing I should focus on. The websites screen resolution.
Now, the websites height is no problem, people can just scroll up and down, but the left and right is something I think I should focus on, as I hate having to do that, and I imagine many other people do as well.
So basically what I'm asking it, how many pixels wide should I set my website up for:
720 pixels for 480p (720 x 480)
1280 pixels for 720p (1289 x 720)
1920 pixels for 1080 (1920 x 1080)
or some other width? (Though I don't see why I shouldn't be choosing between those 3 standards).
1280-1200 or a tiny bit under is good. This allows us 1440 users to view two at the same time and will also accommodate the people who still uses 1280x1024. I wouldn't say above 720p
Cool, I was actually thinking of setting it up for 720p screens as a happy medium (and because most if not all computers sold today are at least 720p, but I just wanted to make sure the standard wasn't the higher 1080p (or what would have surprised me if it were for the lower 420p).
Course, saying all this, I am only just learning how to make websites right now, but I figured if I learn at the best resolution, I wouldn't have to worry about that later.
