True, but emerging technology is generally insecure as it hasn’t had time to mature. On the other hand, exploits in older tech are sometimes discovered years (even decades) after the code was written. The work is never done, it seems. So I do agree with the statement that security is a constant struggle.

Thanks to this thread I discovered Pihole, which I’m running now alongside with DNSCrypt 2.
As filterlists I’m using (almost) everything linked to here and here. Interestinglly enough, Mahakala seems to block hosts-file.net, so I had to whitelist this host in order to pull the hosts-file.net blocklists.
