We were right. We should have bought AMD stock

Anyone remember everyone joking about buying tons of AMD stock (or the whole company) a while back? Looks like that would have been a decent decision.

I saw this the other day and I was like "I hate my life". It was the same with Nintendo and Pokemon Go. Sure you can hate both but not investing in these stocks was a missed opportunity.

Miss a good stock once, shame on them. Miss it twice and I'm an IDIOT.

If I had invested 100€ back at my birthday last year, I would have enough money when Zen hits the market to buy Zen... WELL SH*T!

Sure, I remember. Was playing with the idea myself as well.
Looked at the stock numbers yesterday and just thought "fuck my life".
I'm going to keep an eye on it though, might invest a little bit of my money..

I am really butthurt about this I was broke when AMD stock was around $1.50 per share, I told my waifu, my mother and whoever else i could that they should buy the AMD stock at that point cos it was so damn cheap, I was like buy craploads of it because in like a year or two that thing will go up like mad and you will make moneys... None of them listened. ;_; and I was unemployed and too poor to buy any /sigh

Anyways so the stock now is around $10, a $1000 investment when it was low might have yielded a return 10x that much by now. And I would think it is safe to say that it will strengthen more over time given AMD has some great products lined up.

Damn it! I meant to jump on this earlier. I was totally going to buy 1.5k in AMD at the start of this year, and I forgot...

So, ummm... I actually DID go ahead and buy some AMD stock a few days ago. First stock I ever personally bought, and I didn't buy much, but hey, it's made some money.

I was SLIGHTLY late though. I originally intended to get it the day or so after the Engineering Sample benchmarks leaked, not realizing they were going to have their big announcement presentation so soon, so instead I bought up some right after they had the official announcement. So, could have been better timing, but I think it's still good, and honestly I expect it will go up a good bit higher within the year.

Nintendo I've been kicking myself for a while as I've been talking to one of the guys in the finance department at work about buying Nintendo stock for over 2 years now (back when it was at a historic low), knowing it would spike up some time or another, but I didn't know how to go about it back then. Had I got it then, it would have been a great investment even before the Pokemon Go spike.

i got in and out twice this year. At this level there is waay too much risk. I would wait for a 20-30% pullback before getting in again. Got in at $5.00 before Q2 Earnings after I was talking with a friend about all of the rx480s being sold out. and sold at $6.50 the next day. Tuesday 8/16 i bought in and was down $100 for the week. When thursday rolled around we had the Bloomberg interview with AMD's Chairwoman about the Zen and it surged from Thursday to Friday to $7.90 top

I think if the server processors are going to be as good as they say they are, We will see 15$+ per share in late 2017 due to sales from the enterprise markets and the Zen server CPUs. The consumer markets are really only a small part of AMD's profits.
