I was able to get one of my WD Green 1.5TB Drives working after a PCB replacement. But be careful where you buy PCBs from, it can be quite confusing. Just make sure that the PCB is for the EXACT same model HDD before you consider buying...and yes, it can work, just be sure you know for a fact that it is a PCB issue
Here's an idea, once you have fixed your drive. Go buy another from a different brand like segate impaticular. I dont like WD, I have seen to many cases in real life, in forums and across the web, where they brake in one way or another to warrant not ever buying one. Ever
atm i dont spinup so no ticks or klonking seems like it dont get any power to spinup so really hope its the pcb.
if it hant been all my pictures i wondent care. but now i really want to to work will get it up. copy over all the stuff then i wont use it for a system.
i might play with it in someway load and load of testing from a linux macheine and perhaps sell it for alot of money to a person i hate and say its a gold disc and it worth alot of money! :)
