Basically I'm upgrading my custom loop and i want to use this pump/res combo:

but I want to use the top port as an inlet.
If I bought this would it be compatible?

and then i have to use an internal tube, so this?

Hi Ben, Internal tube is a must in my opinion,it has to be submerged below coolant level if you use top inlet, otherwise you would end up with a lot of foam or air bubbles and bleeding the system could be difficult. They look as the parts of the same series, but you can always ask retailer or contact EK .Just remember to use stop plug to block pump top inlet haha :D

Yes, I had a quick look around before i just went for it and the tube is a must have!
Yeah looks like they all work together, just wanted confirmation from someone else just in case haha.
And yeah, that might be fun leaving that open... lol.
