Ok so I want to slowly get into watercooling but I dont have alot of $$$ to spend right now so i was thinking to get one of those closed loops that you can expand on? Anyone have any experience with these? Which do you recommend?
They are shit, The blocks are crap, the tiny pumps on the blocks are crap, and the radiators are crap. Just save up so you can go balls deeps like a real murrican'.
im with pip on this.....
this is what you were after
http://us.ncix.com/products/?usaffiliateid=1000031504&sku=79583&vpn=H220&manufacture=Swiftech
for $10 more... this is what you could have
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/16892/ex-wat-220/XSPC_Raystorm_750_RS360_Extreme_Universal_CPU_Water_Cooling_Kit_New_Rev_4_Pump_Included_w_Free_Dead-Water.html?tl=c83s137b49
i know which one i want... do you?
oh yeah this kit will do a cpu+gpu in a single loop comftably
Don't get a pre-fab, upgradable loop. As CaptainPip said, they are crap. Even the Swiftech H220 is crappy compared to a low-end custom loop. I would save up and get a fully custom loop, or, if you are on a budget, get a kit, such as the XSPC RayStorm 750 RS240, and some fans for it. It is pretty close to a complete loop - you would need some compression fittings and tubing (unless the kit has some - don't know about that one). Much better - upgradable, cleaner looking, and hell-a-cool.
lol the kit you have just shown op is $10 cheaper and better forget saving up hes just made a saving and got better water cooling :)
wow didn't know that the raystorm kits were that cheap! Will definetly be going with one of those! :
LOL people calling the H220 Block and Pump crap Obviously havent looked into the Specifics, the Block is as good as any other (as the differences are minimal) and the Pump is juts as good as the X20 750 one in the Xspc Kit... and the rad is just as good as most other Slim rads aswell.
Both kits are good and can Definitley be expanded upon, so either or will work well for you.
