Hey everyone!
So I'm not trying to advertise or anything, just looking to help give this game some more exposure. Wartile is an awesome looking game that is on Kickstarter right now! Their 'tagline' is "Bring your collection of miniature figurines to battle on gorgeous battle board dioramas in a tabletop inspired video game!" I'd love to see this game come to life and I just wanted to share this in hopes that there might be some of you here on this forum that would as well and might want to help make that happen.
Anyway, that's all I had for now. Thanks so much for reading and checking it out! Have a great one!!

Kind of a misleading quote...you can't bring YOUR collection of figurines from your D&D games into this game, which is kind of what I thought you were talking about.
Maybe that might be interesting - not sure how they would do it...maybe some 3D scanner peripheral or something, otherwise, this looks....hmmm dull and clunky. the movement control of a turn-based tactical game with the speed of real-time strategy sounds bad, and sounds like something the AI can easily take advantage of while the player can't.
Why do they need to be figurines? What does that contribute to the game. What little I read and saw looked like this could easily be in any other art style. It almost looks like an excuse to have limited animations because they can just say, "oh, well they are figurines, it's not like they move a lot anyway."
I mean....at least with my idea of you scanning your own figurine into the game I could understand limited animations, I doubt a 3D scanner could determine the bone structure to properly animate the figure.
