Want to learn how a linux OS is put together? Play with this web tool

www.Susestudio.com

I thought I would put this up for everyone new to linux. Essentially you make your own fork of OpenSuse and I used it to learn how it was all put together. After you make something you can test it on the website! If you are making your own Kernel (you used to be able to select what processor but I don't know about it now), driver packages, apps, whatever, you can put them into your OS and test them out.

Others can clone your OS and play with it. For Example:

People are cloning this project I started 3 or 4 years ago because I edited the title. I was working on this for 7 months because my laptop was a pentium M.

I'm now going to pick this back up because I want to work on kernel specifics now, but the machine was a Pentium M. Everything I used was shit running on this laptop but this OS I created and bugtested for months on end ran WAY better because I built around my hardware.

Again, this is a great tool if you want to do this sorta thing. You can theme everything however you like, put in whatever packages, everything.

Hope you enjoy!!!

P.S. : Think LFS, but not a pain in the ass.
