Want to get a laptop, 370 usd and bellow

If you couldn't tell from the title I would like a laptop around 370 and lower, I'm going to want something where the OEM has pre-installed windows (NO CHROMEBOOKS), a good cpu that supports virualization (for the money), a chassis that can go through hell and back, usb 3.0, hdmi + vga or dp, sata 3. Any good suggestions?

A10 4600m + 8GBs of RAM

A10 4600M + 6GBs of RAM, probably higher build quality.

Least from what I've read online AMD tends to be better on the virtualization front.

Do you really need a laptop though? because you could totally get a cheap 8320e build for that

I NEED to have portability, I would love other wise, also I want discrete graphics if I do build a rig.

well, I would want a better one

You mean a better GPU? Don't think you could fit one in there, unless you get an APU, in which case you lose 4 cores.

2nd hand thinkpad is the way to go ~ something like a t420, t430 etc. Tough, easy to upgrade, nice keyboard, high availability of batteries/chargers/parts.

Ok, I was looking at those

I saw that you can batteries with more cells per batteries and you can mix and match

Should I look at ebay for buying?

Batteries ~ 6 cell or 9 cell. Use whatever, just be sure that it suits the model. I've got a 6 cell in my t430 and I get about 3-4hrs on average.
Where to get em - depends where you are. ebay is alright, just always read the description and rating of the seller before purchase. Otherwise check out local classifieds and business liquidators.
If you were to pick say a t420 up ditch the optical drive, move the hdd to that spot via caddy then chuck in a ssd for the OS ~ linux or windows.
If you can find one that has a backlit keyboard and higher resolution panel. Chances are you will get the laptop dock as well which can be very handy for home use.
Otherwise check out the HP and Dell business range. They're pretty tough as well.

Should I trust the ones that are 100ish?

put some links up - 100 clams is pretty darn cheap....

Craigslist is a magical place if you arent opposed to it... could probably find a 2nd or 3rd gen i7 laptop for that much.

REALLY, HOLY SHIT, gonna get out the baseball bat though if there is a pedophile or ax murderer, want to keep it local yet from where i live in new jersey, all the deals are far out, like 30 minutes, It would be nice if there was some local forum where I could buy computer hardware among other things in nerdy nature.

I don't have a car

Take the train/bus if you live in a urban area.

I'm a minor, and I'm in high school

Me too.

Ah Craigslist, the place where I go to look at a second set of rims for winter tires for my car and I come home with a stainless steel buck sealed with saran wrap and duct tape, full of home made cherry wine. Six hours after I left...

I have never actually got what I went to look at from people but I do end up with the most interesting things that I never needed.
